ManSess
Mobile Voice Recognition Applications – The purpose of ManSess project is to design a Cloud based Speech Recognition System (CSRS) which provides a Turkish-English translation solution in mobile systems using SR technology. In this solution it will be possible to users to speak in Turkish and then, get English text version of it. Mobile and cloud computing technologies have enabled sophisticated pervasive applications in recent years. Mobile cloud computing helps to overcome the limitations of mobile devices particularly the processing power and data storage, which are the most important, factors in the success of SRS. On the other hand, many mobile devices today can utilize the Internet to transmit sampled voice signals to the servers in the cloud for SR. Mobile cloud computing and its application in SRS is also seen as a potential solution for the fragmented market of mobile operating systems with currently exist operating systems. Aim of our project is to design and develop a robust and accurate SRS also to design and develop a new architecture and algorithms that will use Acoustic Model and especially Language Model as a key model in the Turkish SRS. Use of cloud and distributed computing more accurate and robust SRS will be achieved. Outcome of ManSess project will make things possible for users who don’t know Turkish to acquire the English text version of a Turkish speech. ManSess is going to make things possible for users who know Turkish and no any other languages when communicating with other people.
