Ontolojiler
Today, the rapid increase in use of Internet in all areas has led to a questioning of the accuracy of the information sought on the Internet. The results achieved by the search may be too many and mostly irrelevant so this case turns into a serious loss of time. Now people want to get rid of waste of time and reach to the information they seek directly and get more reliable information. This situation has laid the groundwork to create a stronger structure between machines and people.
The web content used in today’s technology (from web 2.0 to web 3.0 process) is started to be configured to be read and interpreted by both people and machines. Semantic web and web content designed for this purpose can be easily interpreted and processed by machines. Such an infrastructure is provided by the use of ontologies.
Due to designing ontologies in compliance with specific standards information can be shared and reused on different machines. Thus, the data identified once and can be used many times. This is the main purpose of the use of ontologies on semantic web.
Also the topic of terrorism is processed which is in the Sakuwassa project with the using of ontology structure. The concepts concerning with terrorism can be designed in accordance with the standards of ontology and managed in the same way. As a result, the relevance of the document state terror is exposed.
In Sakuwassa Project’s ontology module, it is intended to prepare an infrastructure that recognize, read and interpret the concepts related to terrorism, with support for multi-language, by creating a terrorist specialized ontology. The basic objectives of the terrorism ontology in case of this aim are: Firstly, the document that comes from the web crawler or entered into the system by user is divided into phrases by using text parsing method. When this process is running, stop words removed from the document so the document is cleared. Then the documents are separated into phrases according to the punctuation marks. The document that separated into phrases contains word groups, which have a format that can be added to the ontology. User can supply/feed the ontology by adding the words related to terrorism by using ontology feed screens. In addition, user can create relationships between these examples added through the interfaces and create ontological relationships. Besides supplying/feeding the ontology User can search for any of the example on ontology. As a result of these processes, the document’s relevancy of terrorism can be detected on supplied/fed ontology.
